Access to the beach with a 4 x 4 vehicle allowed in designated areas (limited access) alternatively park your car in the parking area, cross one sand dune .... And the breathtaking ocean is right at your feet.
Access to the beach is currently limited to 200 vehicles for the area north of the bay.
Beach permits are free and are issued on a first come first serve basis.

Put up your gazebo / umbrella and enjoy a fun day on the beach.

Numerous low tide pools present opportunity for safe swimming, snorkeling, fish watching, paddling and playing.

Sodwana Bay offers safe swimming due to the coral reef safe-guarding the swimming area for all water sports on the shallow side of the reef.

For the more adventurous there is the lure of the ocean side of the reef offering sailing, swimming, fishing, snorkelling, angling, spear fishing, etc.

There is also a food kiosk on the beach.
